Absence & Attendance
Ensuring that your child is in school regularly and on time allows them to fully access all learning opportunities and social interactions with their friends. This is one of the best ways to ensure that they meet their full potential. We understand that children get poorly from time to time and that some hospital appointments during the school day are unavoidable, but we have an expectation that all children attend school regularly and on time.
Life as a parent /carer can be challenging at times and if you are struggling with any aspect of attendance or punctuality, please do reach out to us. There are many ways that we can work together to improve the situation. I will be monitoring school attendance and punctuality frequently, and will make contact with any families when I feel worried.
To promote attendance with the children, we will now be sending 'atTEDance Ted' to the class with the best attendance each week.
As a school community, we are great to getting into school at a good time. I love to see so many keen children at the gate at 8.30am.
This is just a reminder to a few families that our gates close at 8.45am and the register closes at 8.50am.
Anyone arriving late, will be provided with a reminder slip about the impact of being late.
